Radisson Hotel Group (RHG) is actively working to promote year-round tourism in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), aligning with the government’s vision for the region. The group currently operates eight hotels in J&K—five in Kashmir and three in Jammu—with three additional properties in the pipeline.
Nikhil Sharma, Managing Director & Area Senior Vice President, South Asia at RHG, emphasized that their strategic investments, including the introduction of the Radisson Collection, aim to position J&K as a year-round destination. He highlighted that combining RHG’s global hospitality expertise with the region’s natural beauty and cultural richness is expected to foster economic growth, generate employment, and offer world-class experiences to travelers.
KB Kachru, Chairman of RHG South Asia and President of the Hotel Association of India (HAI), underscored the need for increased investment, focused strategies, and effective marketing campaigns to fully realize J&K’s tourism potential. He noted that the region has the capacity to attract both leisure and business travelers by offering state-of-the-art accommodations.
In collaboration with the government and other stakeholders, RHG is committed to enhancing the tourism infrastructure in J&K. This includes improving connectivity, waste management, and eco-friendly regulations to create a sustainable tourism ecosystem. These efforts are expected to position J&K as a premier global destination and contribute to the region’s economic development.
