Panic has spread across Latur
after a deadly attack by the notorious ‘Koyta Gang’. A young man was brutally assaulted with sharp weapons by a group of armed miscreants late on Saturday night. The shocking incident was captured on CCTV, and the footage is now circulating widely on social media.
According to police reports, the attackers cornered the victim on a busy street and launched a life-threatening assault using a koyta (sickle-like weapon). Locals rushed the critically injured youth to a nearby hospital, where he is undergoing treatment.
The Koyta Gang has been linked to a series of violent crimes in the region, raising questions about public safety and gang control in Maharashtra’s districts. Police have launched a search operation and assured strict action, stating that identification of suspects is underway using CCTV footage.
Residents have demanded increased night patrolling and stronger action to curb the gang menace in the area.
