MUNICH (July 5): Indian golfers Shubhankar Sharma and Veer Ahlawat narrowly missed the cut at the BMW International Open held at Golfclub München Eichenried.
Both players posted identical scores of 74 and 68 across the two rounds, finishing at two-under-par. However, the cut was set at three-under, and they missed qualifying for the weekend by just one stroke, ending their run tied at 69th place (T-69).
For Sharma, this marks his seventh consecutive missed cut, indicating a challenging stretch on the tour. Ahlawat, too, has been struggling recently, missing three cuts and withdrawing once in his last six starts. His best performance during this period was a T-13 finish in Austria, while he ended T-73 in Italy.
The BMW International Open, a prestigious event on the DP World Tour, continues without the Indian duo, who will now look to regroup ahead of their next tournaments.
