Mumbai: This weekend, you’ll need to carry an umbrella instead of a cap or scarf when heading outdoors. This is because a heavy rainfall alert has been issued for 8 districts this weekend. There is a possibility of rain accompanied by strong winds, and light drizzles are expected in some areas, as forecasted by the Meteorological Department.
According to weather expert Suprit Kumar, temperatures could drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius over the next two days. Temperatures in two places in Maharashtra have been recorded between 42 to 44 degrees Celsius, while Vidarbha and Marathwada have seen temperatures between 40 to 42 degrees Celsius. The Konkan region is experiencing heat during the day, with light rain in the evening.
In the next two days, daytime temperatures may increase by 2-3 degrees Celsius, while nighttime temperatures are expected to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius. After that, no significant changes in the weather are expected for the next three days. However, intense heat waves are already being felt before May. The irregular rainfall and extreme heat are making the situation even more challenging.
