Pune — Two colleagues working at Pune’s well-known medical institution, Ruby Hall Clinic, were found dead at separate locations in the city, triggering shock among staff and prompting an official investigation.
The bodies were recovered from two different spots late on Sunday night. One was located near the banks of the Mula‑Mutha River, while the second was discovered in the vicinity of Sangamwadi. The distance between the locations raised questions about the sequence of events leading up to the deaths.
Police officers from the Pune City Police confirmed that both deceased individuals were hospital employees and knew each other professionally. A preliminary probe has ruled out accidental misplacement of the bodies, and authorities are now examining CCTV footage, call records, and witness statements.
A hospital staff member, speaking anonymously, said the duo had completed duty hours before they went missing. No official note or message explaining the circumstances has yet been publicly reported.
Investigating teams have involved forensic experts from the Sassoon General Hospital to assist in post-mortem examination and evidence analysis. Officials stressed that conclusions will only be drawn after detailed medical and technical reports.
The incident has left the healthcare community grieving, with colleagues describing both individuals as dedicated professionals. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
