The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has officially announced the Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2026 for admission to engineering and pharmacy courses across the state. The examination serves as a crucial gateway for students seeking admission to various government and private institutes in Gujarat.
According to the official update, the GUJCET 2026 exam date has been released, while the application forms and detailed notification will soon be made available on the official website – gseb.org.
Eligibility Criteria
Students appearing for or who have passed Class 12 (Science stream) from a recognized board are eligible.
Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology as core subjects.
There are no age restrictions for appearing in GUJCET.
Exam Pattern
The test will be conducted offline (pen-and-paper mode).
The paper consists of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
Sections include Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology.
Each section carries 40 marks, making the total 120 marks.
For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers.
The GUJCET score is used by state authorities for admissions into B.E., B.Tech., and B.Pharm courses through the centralized counseling process.
