In a major crackdown on corruption, two police officials were arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe. The arrest was made by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), following a complaint filed by a local citizen.
According to sources, the accused officials had allegedly demanded money in exchange for providing relief in a case. Acting on the complaint, ACB officials set up a trap and caught them in the act.
Authorities confirmed that the seized money has been taken as evidence, and further investigation is underway to identify if more people are involved in the bribery network.
The incident has sparked outrage among the public, raising questions about trust and accountability within the police force. Officials assured strict action will be taken against those guilty of tarnishing the department’s image.
