A road altercation in Bengaluru turned violent after two women allegedly attacked a cab driver following a minor collision late at night. Police have registered a case against the women in connection with the incident.
According to initial information, the women were riding a two-wheeler when it hit a taxi from behind in a busy locality. When the driver stepped out to assess the damage and question them, a heated argument broke out on the road.
The situation escalated as the women allegedly began abusing the driver and assaulted him using their helmets. The disturbance drew attention from passersby, some of whom attempted to intervene and calm the situation.
Police reached the spot after receiving alerts from the public and took the women into custody. Officials said the women appeared to be under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
A case has been registered under relevant sections related to assault and disorderly conduct. Further investigation is underway, and police are reviewing video footage recorded by bystanders to establish the sequence of events.
