New Delhi: On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appreciated the Cabinet’s decisions to approve the Kosi-Mechi intra-state linkage project and the four-lane Patna-Sasaram corridor project under the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Irrigation Scheme – Immediate Irrigation Benefits Program (PMKSY-AIBP). Prime Minister Modi stated that these important projects will benefit farmers in Bihar and accelerate the overall development of the state.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the government’s aim is to take Bihar to new heights of development. The Kosi-Mechi intra-state linkage project is an important step towards improving irrigation facilities in the region. This will not only increase agricultural production but also improve flood management. Prime Minister Modi also noted that the central government is continuously working to strengthen the state’s economy.
The Cabinet has decided to include this project under the PMKSY-AIBP. This will help improve irrigation conditions in the region and make efficient use of water resources. Additionally, the four-lane Patna-Sasaram corridor project will enhance traffic conditions in the state and create new opportunities for trade and industry.
