Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has launched a prestigious paid internship initiative under the Institution of Eminence (IoE) scheme, named in honour of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan — a pioneering academician and former librarian. The programme aims to offer hands‑on experience to BHU postgraduates and enhance their professional readiness.
Number of Positions: 110 slots, allocated across various disciplines
Duration: Full one-year tenure from 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026
Monthly Stipend: ₹20,000, disbursed throughout the internship period Library Science: 15 seats (MLib & Information Science); plus 5 for MCA/MSc (Comp Sci)
Physical Education: 10 seats (MPEd postgraduates)Education: 8 for MEd, and 2 for MEd in Special EducationPerforming Arts: Tabla (11), Vocal (5), Violin (2), Bharatanatyam (1), Kathak (1)
Visual Arts: Painting (5), Applied Art (4), Plastic Art (5), Textile Design (3), Pottery Ceramics (3)
Commerce: 20 positions (focus on Finance & Accounting)
External Communication: Journalism & Mass Communication (5), Hindi (1), English (1), Applied Arts (2), Computer Science (1)
Academic Qualification: Must be a postgraduate who successfully completed their final semester at BHU in the 2024–25 academic session, with no backlog subjects.
Age Limit: Maximum of 28 years for general category, with applicable relaxations for SC/ST/OBC candidates, per government norms.
Selection & Application Process
Selection Basis: Academic record combined with a personal interview; standard reservation policy applies.
Application Submission: Candidates should apply via their respective Heads of Department—e.g., for Library Science, route through the Librarian; for other disciplines, through the relevant Head or Dean.
Deadline: Applications must reach the relevant department by 21 July 2025.
