3 ATM Fraudsters Arrested in Delhi; 30 Debit Cards and ₹75,000 Recovered

NEW DELHI, July 19: Delhi Police have arrested three men in connection with an ATM fraud case in the Burari area of North Delhi, where a victim was duped of ₹98,000, officials said on Saturday.

The accused have been identified as:

  • Dharmender (34), an e-rickshaw driver

  • Saheb Kumar Sahni (32), a labourer

  • Tuntun (37), also an e-rickshaw driver with a criminal history

Police recovered 30 debit cards and ₹75,000 in cash from their possession.

According to authorities, all three men hail from the same locality in Bihar and had come to Delhi in search of work. Their modus operandi involved targeting ATM users, watching them enter their PINs, and then fraudulently swapping or stealing their cards.

Investigations are ongoing to determine if the trio is linked to a larger ATM fraud network operating in the region.
