India–UAE Flight Disruptions Cause Passenger Delays

Air travel between India and the United Arab Emirates faced significant disruptions on March 16, 2026, leading to delays and inconvenience for hundreds of passengers.

Several flights operated by major Indian carriers were either delayed, rescheduled, or temporarily suspended due to operational restrictions and congestion at key UAE airports. Routes connecting major Indian cities to hubs like Dubai and Abu Dhabi were among the most affected.

Passengers reported long waiting hours at airports, with many struggling to get timely updates regarding their departures. Airlines, meanwhile, issued advisories asking travelers to check flight status before heading to the airport.

Aviation authorities stated that the situation arose due to a combination of technical constraints and increased air traffic, which impacted normal flight operations. Efforts were made to restore schedules and minimize inconvenience to passengers.

Officials also confirmed that coordination between Indian and UAE aviation authorities is ongoing to stabilize operations and avoid further disruptions. Additional flights may be arranged if required to clear the backlog.

The situation is expected to improve gradually as airlines adjust schedules and airport operations return to normal.
