Delhi CM Launches Month-Long Cleanliness Drive ‘Dilli ko Kude Se Azaadi'” aimed at tackling the Capital’s growing waste management issues. The initiative is expected to involve large-scale community participation and intensified sanitation efforts across all wards of Delhi.
While launching the campaign, CM Gupta took a swipe at the previous Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government, accusing them of misplacing priorities. “They spent crores of rupees on building a Sheesh Mahal (glass palace), but did nothing to improve the pathetic
condition of government offices or the city’s cleanliness infrastructure,” she said.
The campaign includes targeted cleaning of streets, public areas, markets, and slums, along with awareness drives and increased garbage collection frequency. Government departments and civic agencies have been directed to ensure strict monitoring and timely waste disposal.
CM Gupta added that the campaign is not just about cleaning the city once but instilling a long-term sense of civic responsibility among citizens.
