CRPF Jawan Martyred in Chaibasa IED Blast, Paid Tribute by Governor and CM

Ranchi: CRPF jawan Satyawan Kumar Singh, who lost his life in an IED blast in Jharkhand’s Chaibasa district, was given a final salute at the 133 Battalion Headquarters of CRPF in Dhurwa, Ranchi. The brave jawan hailed from Kushinagar district in Uttar Pradesh.

After the wreath-laying ceremony, his mortal remains were sent to his native village for the last rites. Senior state officials, including Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, and Director General of Police Anurag Gupta, paid their respects at the ceremony.

Governor Gangwar expressed deep sorrow over the incident and called it extremely tragic. In his condolence message, he said that Naxal activities in Jharkhand have been significantly controlled in recent years. He also mentioned that the Central Government is working toward a goal of making India Naxal-free by the year 2026.

Chief Minister Hemant Soren also expressed his grief, stating that the martyrdom occurred during an intensive anti-Naxal operation. He said such incidents are painful and highlighted the sacrifice of brave soldiers like Satyawan Kumar Singh in ensuring peace and security. The Chief Minister assured that the state government stands firmly with the bereaved family in this moment of immense grief and will provide all possible support.

The martyrdom of Jawan Singh once again highlights the dangers security forces face in Naxal-affected regions and underlines the ongoing efforts to restore peace and eliminate extremism.

The state and the nation mourn the loss of a true hero whose sacrifice will not be forgotten.
