Renowned singer Shreya Ghoshal has postponed her much-anticipated Mumbai concert, originally scheduled for May 10, 2025, at Jio World Garden, BKC, due to escalating tensions between India and Pakistan. This decision aligns with similar actions taken by other artists in response to the current national situation.

In a heartfelt message shared on Instagram, Ghoshal expressed her disappointment over the postponement but emphasized the importance of standing in solidarity with the nation during these challenging times. She further assured fans that the event is not canceled but merely postponed, adding, “We will reunite soon—stronger and more united than ever.”

Ticket holders need not worry, as all purchased tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date. BookMyShow, the exclusive ticketing partner, will be reaching out to all ticket holders with updates and further instructions.

This postponement comes in the wake of heightened border tensions following Operation Sindoor, a series of precision strikes by the Indian armed forces on terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The operation was launched in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack on April 22, which resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.

Ghoshal’s decision reflects a broader trend among artists choosing to defer performances in light of national concerns. Other musicians, including Arijit Singh, Shankar Mahadevan, Papon, and Usha Uthup, have also postponed concerts amid the ongoing tensions.

Fans are encouraged to stay tuned to Shreya Ghoshal’s official channels and BookMyShow for timely updates on the rescheduled concert date.
