A number of injuries were reported.
According to Yurii Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, Russia “apparently launched everything they have” at targets all around the country. Police, the roughly eighteen-hour attack that started on Thursday and lasted into the night struck six towns in Ukraine, including the nation’s capital, Kyiv, as well as other regions in both east and west.
