On Saturday, India celebrated the foundation day of several states and union territories. President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended warm greetings to the people of Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Lakshadweep, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, and Puducherry on their Statehood Day.
President Murmu highlighted the rich culture and historical significance of each region. She conveyed her best wishes for progress, harmony, and prosperity across all these states and union territories.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to social media to congratulate citizens. He praised the remarkable contributions of each state to the nation’s growth and expressed hope for their continued development.
These states, established on different dates in the past but sharing November 1 as a commemorative day, celebrate their unique traditions, heritage, and achievements, marking this day with cultural events, official ceremonies, and public programs.
As India observes this special occasion, citizens across the country joined in the celebrations, honoring the spirit of unity in diversity that defines the nation.
