The route from Srinagar to Leh is now open. As per the updates, Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) traffic is now allowed on both the sides between Sonamarg and Kargil from 5 AM to 5 PM. However, do note that traffic will not be allowed on Fridays

If you have been keen to go on a road trip to Spiti, Ladakh and other places in the trans-Himalayan region, here is good news for you. However, these routes will remain open depending on weather conditions. Read on for all the details.

As per the current updates, the route from Shimla to Kaza, Spiti, is now open. Travellers will not face much difficulty while travelling through this route as the road conditions are quite good all the way to Kaza.

Further, the road from Manali to Kaza is also open for vehicular movement. Be aware that the road conditions are not quite good as usual, especially for small cars.

It is also possible to travel from Kaza to Chandratal as the route is open now, though dirt roads might create a bit of a hassle

The route from Manali – Shinku La – Padum has also been opened for travellers. Reportedly, the road condition is mostly fine, with a mix of road and dirt track.

Chamba – Sach Pass – Killar route is also open now.
